Condominium Design
This project is a remodel of a condo unit for myself. The concept behind this is a bird, particularly Canadian geese. It drives from being family oriented; Canadian geese migrate in a pattern where they help each other out, taking away the resistance of the air for the goose behind it. They work as a team and help each other out, this is how a family should also function. The partition placement is in the shape of a bird, the materials board is in the flight pattern of Canadian geese, and the finishes are revolved around the concept.
FAMILY AND SECLUSION
House Design
This house was designed for Shannon Flaherty. She wanted to live close to the water and secluded from the rest of the city, but accessible enough that her family could visit. The house was created in the shape of a beluga whale; to symbolize her connection with her family. The structure is designed in a way that allows the house to float on the water and move with the tide. The large windows and interior finishes aim to make the view the focal point.
