This floor plan is that of an advertising company, Coast. The two partners lived on opposite sides of Canada; one rural and one urban community. They met in school and decided to start a business together, in 1990. Eventually, the company wanted to expand; moving from Toronto to Calgary. The concept of the design took the move and their backgrounds into consideration. On the left side it is more reserved and quiet representing being in nature or by the mountains. This section has marble and wood accents to support this idea. In conjunction with this, on the right side it is very linear and loud to symbolize the streets of Toronto. For the materials there is brick throughout the space and accent walls covered in murals and graffiti.
